We are interested in the role of stem cells in disease and tissue regeneration and key research focus includes:Genetic and chemical control of stem cell fate;Creation of patient-specific disease avatars； Development of cell-base and stem cell derivative therapeutics. Harnessing the remarkable regenerative capacity of the liver,we derives patient-specific adult stem cells from healthy and disease tissues and utilize these primary cells as valuable tool for research and exploring their translational potential in regenerative medicine.
闵明玮，2010年于四川大学取得学士学位，2014年于剑桥大学取得博士学位，随后在哈佛医学院和科罗拉多大学（Boulder）完成博士后训练，2020年受聘为生物岛实验室细胞命运与谱系研究中心研究员。 研究领域：主要专注于细胞命运决定的研究。实验室将利用高通量活细胞成像和计算机辅助跟踪技术，获取细胞变化中时间和空间上的关键信息，通过在时空上精细可控的操作来探索系统组织中细胞谱系建成的因果关系。
